KOSHISH – The Institute of Disability Management, Rehabilitation & Research

This unit provides specialized care to the persons with disabilities e.g. Mentally Retarded, Autistic, Spastic, Hearing and Speech Impaired, C.P. Children etc. through indoor centre based care and C.B.R. Programme. Among the important services, there are provisions for special education, vocational training, rehabilitation counselling, parents' training, early detection and care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy & yoga.

Mahila Suraksha and Vikas Manch

Over 127 units of grassroots women's groups are taking care of their safety and development. The programme is supported by the services of the Family Counselling Centre and the Adolescent Education programme, and care and support to aged females, self-help groups, vocational training, and production units. About 10000 women are associated with our Mahila Suraksha and Vikas Manch programme, and over 15000 cases of family disputes have been settled so far, resulting in peaceful, amicable family lives with love and affection for each other.

NIRAMAYA: The Community Health Programme

The programme takes care of people's health at their doorstep through Medical Camps and Health Education Programmes. This programme is supported by Reproductive & Child Health, de-addiction counselling and holistic health programme, etc. Our awareness packages for the prevention of HIV/AIDS and female foeticide have been acknowledged by the Government. The Executive Director of the Institute, Dr Anju Bajpai, is a member of Swasthya Kalyan Samiti and the PNDT Committee, Yamuna Nagar. The Institute has contributed to the National TB Eradication Programme and recently to fight the COVID-19 menace by assisting the needy and helping the administration reach out to the suffering people. The UTTHAN Team also distributed essential items, food and nutrition kits to the suffering humanity in slum areas and labour colonies. (report here).
